SNSD had released their second Japanese single, Gee, and it has been sold 66.000 copies in the first week after the releasing date. They entered Oricon with own the eleventh place, then after one week, they reached second place. A British girlgroup named Nolans had released their song titler ‘Dancing Sisters’ and entered Oricon at the second place for the twelfth part and one week on the 80’s. SNSD is the second girlgroup who can break the record for 30 years! Except any Japanese girlgroups, SNSD is the first Asian girlgroup who has entered this chart. The Korean version of Gee also broke the records.
In September 2010, SNSD’s Japan debut single, Genie, help them to break the record as the first foreign female artist who can reach the fourth place in Oricon for the first single.
Gee’s sales result has been exceeded of the target, and many people guess that both of Gee and Genie will have risen sales more and more.
